I mentioned in my one post that I had been grumpy all day (on the 4th). I did do my best to combat the grumps with quality family time.
We went to the beach at Longview Lake for a few hours, and then in the evening went to English Landing park in Parkville, MO for playground fun and their fireworks display. Their air show was a cluster of paragliders dropping into the ball fields about an hour before fireworks went off. It was pretty neat, and I still have no desire to skydive.
Ian and Katherine mostly had a good day and there was minimal sibling bickering. They even played together and layed on the ground next to each other to watch fireworks. It was a good day for them.
They were good moments that were helpful in combating the grumps I fought all day.
May you have good family fun. May your fun times be excellent distractions. May you enjoy your days mostly, but especially the holidays. May you find more than adequate happy moments to float you through the less than positive ones. May you enjoy your life mostly.
