Just even 10 steps

No need to walk
A mile
In my shoes
Hell just 10 steps
Would cripple some

If they even took
10 steps
Into my life
They'd understand
Much more fully

If they could
Even comprehend
Some tidbits
I've explained
With the best words
Our language holds

Irony:
Being told
Consult to
Fix
Limiting beliefs
Right after
The same person
Told me
Winning the lottery
Is not likely
To happen

Irony:
Wishing others
The absolute
Best
With a knowing
They'd rather
I not get
My version
Because it
Might
Impact them
Somehow

Irony:
Believing in
God
Having faith
In miracles
Doing God's work
Daily
To be handed
Worst case
Repeatedly

Just take 10 steps
In my shoes
Then tell me
I'm
Wrong
Not justified
Or inappropriate

She told me
I couldn't
Run a business
Now I can
She didn't do it for me
Only expressed
An observation

She told me
I could do
Anything
I want
Right up
Until I voiced
A demand
For money flow
In my life
Beyond her abilities
To create for
Herself

He told me
I couldn't
Handle the rough
Life was callous
I not only did
But fixed the
Damage done
He didn't do it for me
Only expressed
An observation

He told me
I'd suffer in poverty
He may have been right
I intend to correct
Even that
He isn't doing it for me
He only expressed
An observation

Gods and Goddesses
Walking Earth
Every last one
Allowed those
Who came before
To limit
Current beliefs

Gods and Goddesses
Walking Earth
Breaking
Each other
By holding
Themselves
Back
And demanding
Others do the same

Gods and Goddesses
Walking Earth
Hurting
Those sensitive
Enough to feel
Their discord

Enough is enough
It is time
To go
Unless you
Believe
In yourself
Enough to
Live for
Yourself
And let
Everything
Else
Go
