We Could Be Just Like Them

Should read: We Could Be Just Like Them (unable to italicize title).

If every woman picked up the nearest gun.

Then turned and pointed it at the nearest man and pulled the trigger.

Then the problem would be solved. No more men, or extremely few, all just women.

None of us would hold each other responsible, because they wanted to take our rights.

It’s just war right?! We’d never have to fight for anything again.

We’d never have to protect ourselves from rape.

We’d never have to protect ourselves from carrying an unwanted child , that we didn’t ask for, that we didn’t want, that was forced upon us.

We’d never have to give birth and care for children in poverty because Pro-lifers stop caring after birth.

We’d never have to watch children massacred in schools.

Problem solved. We could be just like them.

Or we could just let them make us have kids, let them take our abortion rights, and do absolutely nothing else. Let nature take us women and our children out, because medicine wants us to believe that every pregnancy is so risky that we’re all just going to die anyway, unless medicine intervenes violently and extremely. So let’s just all die in childbirth. That’s okay.

Or maybe men could get the effing point here. It is our right. If you choose to dominate us and restrict us, but fail to end rape, incest, molestation, and other atrocities, and fail to secure safe birth without violating women’s bodies, then we can fight war.

Men have no problem fighting war after war and hoarding guns, so us women have plenty of access without even needing to go buy any. Your wars are over money, oil, lands, and politics. Our wars are reserved for when it really counts, is not that we can’t kill, we’re just more judicial in when we choose to do it.

Or maybe we can all realize that COVID fucked our brains and that the progress made was for good reason and not undo anything.

Just saying that poeople seem more and more fucking crazy and trying to go back to before Roe v Wade seems ludicrous. Times were not good then either, that is unless you believe Barney Fife whole heartedly.

May we all have brains and respect each other’s rights even if we don’t personally see the benefit of something. May we realize that even though we might be safe and feel safe, others might not without this vital law. May we all do what is best and what is right and continue to aim for improvement. Above all may you know that the divine loves and supports you in that you do.

Om Shanti
