Good dog.

I arrived home early today. A slow day at work meant heading home just after lunchtime. My goal was to finish my taxes. I nearly did, with only 2 things left to complete tomorrow.

While I was working on finishing that, I opened the window for the beautiful weather to filter through. Upper sixties and sunny left my pets wanting sunshine as much as I did.

Buddy sat in the window and Zen alternated between trying to look out around him and trying to hug me. Eventually I gave in and helped Zen up into my lap. It was cute, so I wanted to share pictures.

May you find completing your taxes to be easy even when self-employed or a contractor. May you have ample time to spend enjoying glorious weather this year. May you get to snuggle with your pets regardless of their size. And may you have plenty to be grateful for. Above all, may you know that God loves and supports you in all that you do and that any desired healing is full and speedy.

Om Shanti

My Buddy

The kitties got their yule present a few days early. It was a new cat tree. They had great fun breaking it in and got so frisky they almost toppled our holiday tree too!

I ended up catching my buddy cat in some adorable moments afterwards, once he’d run out of steam to play.

I love my super photogenic Buddy cat. I hope you find him as adorable as I do.

Welcome Zelda… errr… Nadi

I got a text today about half way through my morning at work. A kitten that had been gifted to a resident and now needed a home. Was I interested, they asked.

After weird dreams I had had last night, and my knee jerk reaction remembering how we got Buddy and Missy. I replied with send a picture. My thought being if it’s a full grown ‘kitten’ I’d say no.

Instead I get a picture of a barely old enough to leave momma kitten. I couldn’t say no. Plus, she was a calico like my old lady kitty Priss.

Her temporary name was Zelda. Though I have nothing against Zelda, Nathan and I both agreed it wasn’t really a cute kitten name. I suggested Sandy due to her patches of tan. That was so, so. We ran through a whole host of other names and then started translating options to other languages.

Finally we settled on Nadi which means River- I thought it fitting as an acknowledgement of how things have just been flowing to us lately. Honoring the Divine process.

I think she’ll fit right in, and super cute. Buddy isn’t sure what to think of her, Missy and Priss are a bit standoffish yet, the dog would slobber all over her if she’d even let him close enough, but my kids think she’s great.
